Successful candidate must:

  • Possess a high school degree or equivalent (two or four-year degree a plus)
  • Hold Category I, II, or III certification by the Vibration Institute, Technical Associates of Charlotte, or equivalent
  • Have a working knowledge of vibration data collection equipment

Here are the ideal qualifications for Field Service Technician.

Successful candidate must:

  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. Complete work as outlined in job package using CMMS, paper documentation and equipment procedures as required.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of millwright fundamentals on preventative and corrective maintenance. I.E. seals, bearings, alignment, balancing, etc…
  • Be skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to support precision maintenance work.
  • Early Identification of the need to perform maintenance work through observation, inspections, testing, and monitoring on a routine basis.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding to communicate problems discovered for completion of a quality notification for repairs.
  • Conduct job safety reviews with Customers prior to performing maintenance work.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on job sites as well as in the shop.

Journeyman requirments:

  • NCCER or Union Journeymen license or 5+ years of experience in field execution of industrial Mechanical repairs.
  • 5+ years of mechanical aptitude skills and adequate industrial mechanical maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of related manufacturing facilities, refineries or machine shop equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and general industrial maintenance and reliability activities.
  • Ability to follow, interpret and act on written and verbal job instructions, and reports, technical manuals, and data.
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers and precision instruments
  • Ability to calculate measurements used to repair and maintain general manufacturing equipment.

We are looking to expand our team with an experienced Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking to join a growing team and is willing and able to be flexible, keeping an open mind to change, as well as make value-adding suggestions and contributions to continuously improve business processes.

The Planner/Scheduler would be responsible for making a maintenance plan and bringing together all the resources needed to complete it. The scheduling role involves assembling and coordinating the information, people, materials, equipment, along with all the other resources to get the job done. An effective maintenance planner will need to have strong technical skills and a strong understanding of workflow and maintenance processes and clear communication skills.

What You Will Do in Your Role:

  • Support execution of maintenance work by estimating, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance workflow.
  • Ensure that materials, tools, and manpower are available for maintenance tasks and provide proper documentation of performed work.
  • Maintain close liaison with Customer Personnel, Field Service Manager, & Trade workforce to prioritize planned maintenance work and improve overall execution.
  • Responsible for scheduling the daily 5day/8hr maintenance plan, maintenance projects, and shop work.
  • Review planned maintenance work and identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency.
  • Ability to order correct materials based on equipment information provided by customers and field technicians.
  • Receive materials and ensure the correct materials are organized with the correct work order from all estimators.
  • Maintain equipment master data, preventive maintenance procedures and maintenance plans to benchmark practices.
  • Track work performance and interact in company meetings by leading discussions on maintenance priorities and KPIs.
  • Help maintain up to date documents as you receive feedback from the technicians and database update.
  • Purchase Order acknowledgement through customer portals and document with Cornerstone’s CMMS system.
  • Maintain and update Cornerstone’s “Preferred Vendor” list.
  • Ownership of our customer requested material resale program.
  • Perform customer follow-up interactions when equipment deficiencies are identified by the field teams.
  • Receive customers calls for the Field Service organization. Distribute calls to the necessary Estimators and Technical teams.
  • Ensure customers are provided answers and updates for all future work within our CMMS.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in maintenance planning or mechanical trade in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude; basic understanding of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to achieving company goals by focusing on quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Office, database development in Excel, and willing to learn other software applications).

What Will Put You Ahead:

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning or mechanical trade in an industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment repair and balancing.
  • Logistical certifications such as an APICS Certification.
  • Experience with E.O.S. (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
